DUBLIN FIRE DEPARTMENT'S SPECIAL OPERATIONS TRAILER DAMAGED BY COLLAPSE

February 6, 2010 - 15:30 Firefighters were notified that the Special Operations Trailer had been damaged by a metal cover collapse at the old REMSI Station 1 building where we had been storing the trailer. The cover had collapsed due to the snow load on top. Firefighters along with REMSI personnel spent 5 hours removing the cover from over the trailer. A Dublin Town backhoe was also used. The cover had to be cut and removed in small sections to avoid more damage to the trailer. None of the equipment inside the trailer was damaged. The insurance company is determining if it is repairable or will be totaled.
